She finished the painting. She looked at it and thought if she touched the fountain in the centre it would bring success into her life. She laughed. Oh, it would be beautiful if it were so simple, she said aloud, touched the center of the picture with her hand and said that she wished to achieve success. And then she forgot about it. She packed up several paintings and sent them thousands of miles away to an exhibition. Not one of the paintings came back. She never expected such success. All this time, nothing, and then this happened, she shaking her head. Then a painting fell off the wall. She bent down to pick it up and hung it back on the wall. It was a picture of a fountain, and in that moment she remembered her wish. No one would believe me. I’ll never sell that fountain, she swore to herself.
