Indian summer is here. It was a shame not to take advantage of such beautiful weather for a picnic in the park. She packed a basket of food and occasionally looked out of the kitchen window with a smile. She called to the rest of the family to pack quickly, they were going on a trip. She didn’t tell them where they were going. They got in the car. They drove just two streets away to a city park. She laughed when she saw their uncomprehending faces. Get out!!! She got a picnic basket and a blanket out of the car. Come on, let’s go have a picnic here, she told them. The kids rolled their eyes. Her husband, smiling, helped her with the basket and they set up the picnic together. Then they looked at their children and held out their hands to them. Mobile phones here! Every parent’s dream.
