Wetlands

In the days of my childhood, there were countless secret havens in nature — places untouched by the noise of the world, hidden from uninvited footsteps. These sanctuaries were a vibrant paradise where wildflowers thrived undisturbed, and animals found safe refuge. They whispered with the wind and bloomed with the seasons, untouched, unbroken.
But time was not kind. One by one, these sacred places were altered, scarred, or lost entirely under the careless hands of humanity.
This painting is my tribute to one of those vanished places. I captured it not as it might look today, but as it lives on — vivid and timeless — in the garden of my memories. It is a visual memory of innocence and serenity, painted with longing, and layered in colors of remembrance and grief.
